West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper coach Dean Kiely believes Ben Foster is happy with his decision to step down from international football.
Kiely does not expect Foster to change his mind and fully backed the Albion No.1.
"It's not a negative towards England, I've heard phone-ins before where people say it's a joke, or whatever," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"What I would say is that he did have injuries which were a concern to him. He's taken all that information, work-load and what keeps him ticking along.
"He's come to the conclusion that what is involved maybe something has to give.
"He's chosen his international career. I thoroughly respect that decision given I made the same decision (about Republic of Ireland) when I was at Charlton."
