West Brom keeper Alex Palmer thrilled with senior progress

West Brom goalkeeper Alex Palmer is thrilled with his progress this season.

For the last two games Palmer has been named on the first-team bench because Boaz Myhill has been ruled out for three weeks with an ankle injury he picked up in training.

“It's been really good, training with the first team day in, day out," he told the Express & Star. “Obviously there's such a big difference, it can only help you mature as a goalkeeper and as a man. I've found it really useful and really helpful.

“You've just got to be ready. You've got to do everything in training and make sure you're confident when you're sitting on the bench that you can go on there if required and put in a good performance."
