West Bromwich Albion technical director Dan Ashworth has made it clear that Youssouf Mulumbu is not about to depart the club.
The 25-year old Congolese midfielder has been linked with the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham after a brilliant season with the Baggies but Ashworth suggests any speculation has only come from mischief makers.
"Once again, we have had no contact from anybody regarding Youssouf.
"I think people pry on the fact that the players are away on holiday or back home so cannot defend themselves.
"There are always rumours at this time of the year but nothing serious, as far as I'm aware.""I think we saw the same comments last year. It seems like there are some agents trying to play a bit of mischief," he told Express & Star.
