Former West Brom midfielder Richard Sneekes is kicking off his coaching career at Tamworth FC.
The 41-year-old has been appointed as assistant to Academy Head Coach Dale Belford at Tamworth Football Club.
And the Dutch ace - who holds a Level 2 coaching badge - believes it could be the beginnings of another bright chapter in his career.
"When I retired I said that I would never get back into football," said Sneekes who hung up his boots after a brief fling with Hinckley United three years ago after initially retiring from the professional game at the age of 34 after stints at Stockport and Hull.
"Then after a couple of years I did a little bit of coaching, got into it and really started pushing forward.
"When you look at people - not so much in the Premier League but in the Championship and Leagues One and Two - you look at the games and how people set up their teams and you think: 'Why can't I do that?'" he told the Sunday Mercury.
