West Brom hero Ally Robertson has urged the club to deal in Darren Fletcher.
Fletcher has postponed triggering a new 12-month option in his deal until the summer.
Robertson wrote for the Express & Star: "He's a good leader, a good person, and he's got an experiencing of winning things that can't be touched in this current squad.
"By the sounds of it, he's a pivotal part of the dressing room, and if he does want to make the transition into coaching, then I would be more than happy to see him do it at The Hawthorns, writes Ally Robertson.
"He insists he's relaxed about his contract negotiations but we are coming up to the end of the season now. The sooner the club tie him down to a new deal, the better."
