West Brom head for Holland and pre-season training

West Brom have announced they will undergo a week-long pre-season training camp in Holland to gear up for their return to the Premier League. Albion, who went to Slovenia last summer under Roberto Di Matteo, will be based near Eindhoven and will end their stay with a friendly against Eredivisie side VVV Venlo on Saturday July 17.

The Baggies were based in Venlo for their pre-season training camp two years ago as they geared up for Premier League football under then boss Tony Mowbray, travelling over to Germany to play friendly matches.

Sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth told the club's official website: "We`ve only lined up one friendly on the trip at Robbie`s request as he primarily wants to work with the players on the training pitch, focusing on tactical preparation for the Premier League."
