West Brom go for Portsmouth striker Nugent

West Brom are moving for Portsmouth striker David Nugent.

The Mirror says Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is ready to ask Pompey if they will loan Nugent with the promise that he will buy him at the end of the deal for around £4million.

Nugent was offered to Derby before the deadline and boss Harry Redknapp would let him go if he got the right money for the England striker who he only signed from Preston in the summer.
