West Brom fullback Reid studying Clarke coaching methods

West Bromwich Albion fullback Steven Reid admits he's now taking notes on manager Steve Clarke's training sessions.

The 32 year-old has ambitions to enter a coaching career once he hangs up the boots.

"All of the sessions we do are well structured and organised," Reid told the Birmingham Mail.

"I'm going to start doing and drawing up sessions that we've found helpful and hopefully going forward. If that's a route I want to take then I have a library of stuff to help me with.

"The gaffer has been helpful with all the sessions and the amount of his own sessions he has in his office is just unbelievable - whether it's from West Ham, Chelsea, Newcastle or Liverpool. They are all there.

"There are folders and folders of sessions and knowledge. So I couldn't ask for a better manager in that respect.

"He's happily given me access to whatever I want to look at and see what he's done as a coach - that has been a great help.

"It's frightening the amount of detail he puts in."
