West Brom football chief Dan Ashworth has revealed the capture of Gianni Zuiverloon is their model for future signings.

He told the Daily Mail: "What we want is a 'shadow' squad with cover in all positions.

"When we went to Heerenveen to buy Zuiverloon they said they wanted a certain price because they already knew who they were going to buy to replace him. They have to keep going in Holland.

"We are trying to be two transfer windows ahead. Some players get advice that they shouldn't come to England as it's too early, but we want to get them before they become too expensive for us."
