West Bromwich Albion are closing in on Blackpool midfielder David Vaughan.

The Journal says Vaughan, one of Sunderland's main summer targets, appears to be edging towards a move to West Brom.

Vaughan is coveted by Rangers, Albion and the Black Cats.

But he has told friends that he wants to be close to his family in North Wales, which rules out Sunderland.
