West Bromwich Albion are hoping they can soon come to an agreement with young gun Saido Berahino.
The 20-year old Burundi-born England U21 striker has been impressive for the Baggies this season, scoring five goals in all competitions, and manager Steve Clarke is looking to secure his services before too long.
"Things are progressing," he said.
"The club and his representatives are talking and things are moving in the right direction. It won't be done before this weekend."
Of Berahino's five goals, four have come in the Capital One Cup, but his most significant goal to date was the winner in the 2-1 triumph over Manchester United at Old Trafford in late September.
