West Brom doubtful loanee keeper Foster will stay

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeping coach Dean Kiely admits that Birmingham loanee stopper Ben Foster may not make his move permanent in the summer. And while Kiely says he would love the 28-year-old to sign a permanent deal, he knows the final decision will not be Albion's with the prospect of a City promotion or a higher bid from another club likely to scupper any transfer.

"People that I speak to and people on Twitter all say to me 'make sure we sign Ben Foster'," said Kiely. "Let me make it perfectly clear, I am Ben's No 1 fan.

"I would love him to be a West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper for the next three, four, five, six or however many years.

"But he's a Birmingham player, we've got him on loan, and his future will be decided by a lot of factors, some of which are out of our control.

"In terms of goalkeeping, you only have to have two eyes in your head to see that Ben is a top Premier League player.

"I sit there in the dugout every week enjoying watching Ben play and I enjoy working with him immensely Monday to Friday. He's an absolute joy."  Click here to reach the No1 destination for hard news and exciting gossip on West Bromwich Albion
