West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke fears missing out on Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair.
The Daily Star says Clarke is still praying the club can clinch the deal to land Sinclair.
The £6m-rated winger looked stitched on to go to The Hawthorns until a delay in negotiations let Southampton make a late bid to hijack the deal.
Last night Albion were still confident they could land the 24-year-old - a big relief to boss Clarke.
