West Bromwich Albion teammates know they must work harder to get Nicolas Anelka into the game.
The Frenchman saw little of the ball and was subbed seven minutes from time in defeat to Southampton on Saturday.
Baggies defender Gareth McAuley argues both Anelka and his team-mates need to help each other more.
McAuley said: "He has been all over Europe and played in lots of different teams, leagues and styles of play.
"So I think he will probably adapt to us.
"But we need to get the ball to him a lot better, a lot quicker and in the right areas of the pitch so he can do damage for us.
"We need to get some points on the board quickly now."
