West Bromwich Albion defender Billy Jones admits they struggled to cope with the threat of Liverpool pair Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez in Saturday's defeat.
Jones was impressed with the way the Suarez-Carroll partnership is beginning to develop for Liverpool.
The pair have scored eight Premier League goals between them in 10 starts together.
Jones said: "They were a threat. There were balls which got knocked in where Carroll wasn't favourite to win them or get anything from them.
"But he turns those half-balls into good balls by getting it down and releasing other players.
"He sets up Stewart Downing and Charlie Adam while Suarez is already on his bike making good runs."
