Former Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is impressed by West Brom's squad.

A grade A student, Evans is arguably one of the Baggies' brightest sparks.

But Evans said brains and brawn were nothing without a will to win.

"It's a ruthless profession," Evans admitted to the Birmingham Mail. "There's a lot of nice guys in football, but once you get out on that pitch it all goes out the window and it's all about winning.

"Having a winning mentality is more important. There's always a few loose cannons - every changing room has them.

"I can't name names - I'm sure you all know."
