West Bromwich Albion are thrashing out terms with Besiktas for Demba Ba.

The Birmingham Mail says Tony Pulis knows that the 30-year-old could earn significantly more money in China due to their 35% tax rate as opposed to England's 45%.

Shanghai Shenhua have lodged a £10 million bid and are offering a salary comparable to Albion's which would be in the region of £60,000 - £70,000 a week.

The sum would dwarf the amount paid to Darren Fletcher, Joleon Lescott and Ben Foster the current high earners.
