West Bromwich Albion are in talks today with former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood.
The Express & Star says the Baggies hope to make an appointment before the weekend with Sherwood still the No.1 choice. But officials were still discussing details with him a month to the day that they parted company with Pepe Mel.
Albion are thought to have fall-back options if they cannot finalise an agreement with Sherwood, but the former Tottenham boss remains the favourite.
And the Baggies hope to unveil the 45-year-old to the media next week before pressing ahead with squad rebuilding.
