West Brom are believed to have agreed a £2million fee with Manchester City to sign on-loan striker Ishmael Miller on a permanent basis.
The 20-year-old has formed a lethal partnership with veteran hitman Kevin Phillips, who has bagged six league goals himself to help steer Albion up to third in the Championship table.
And Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is keen to tie him down to a permanent contract, to be penned either in January or next summer, according toThe Mirror.
Mowbray moved to agree a fee with City now as he is aware Miller's valuation could soar if he continues to produce dazzling displays.
"Ishmael is a real goal threat," said the Albion gaffer. "Long term I hope he can score the goals to get us out of this division and if we do that I am confident he would want to join us."
