West Bromwich Albion are confident Saido Berahino will be fit for the start of the season.
The striker has been ruled out for a month with strained knee ligaments.
The Daily Mail says following tests back at the Midlands club it has revealed no major damage to his right knee, with Berahino expected to return to training at the end of July - two weeks before the season begins.
Therefore the 21-year-old is line to be fit to be fit for the Baggies's season opener against Manchester City at the Hawthorns on August 8.
The Club's Performance Director Dr Mark Gillett said: "Saido has got a ligamentous tear of his knee which does not require surgery but careful rehabilitation for up to four weeks.
"We are grateful to the England medical staff for putting Saido's welfare first."
