West Brom goalkeeping coach Joe Corrigan is keeping a check on youngster Luke Daniels during his time on-loan at Shrewsbury.
Corrigan told the club's website of the former Manchester United trainee: "When I was at Manchester City I went on loan to Shrewsbury under Harry Gregg and it's a great little club to play for.
"My wife comes from Shrewsbury, my in-laws still live there and at the little pub I go to, they are fanatical Shrewsbury Town supporters.
"Every time I go there I get my ear bent about what a good goalkeeper Luke is.
"I'm pleased for him and, touch wood, it'll keep going for him.
"But he's progressed beyond belief this season.
"He's big, he's strong, he's confident and we wanted him to go out on loan because that's the only way you'll learn your trade, by playing where it means something."
