West Brom closing in on Birmingham’s Ridgewell

West Bromwich Albion are close to completing the capture of Birmingham City defender Liam Ridgewell.

The Baggies have been interested in the 27-year old for a few weeks and it appears as though he will be on his way to The Hawthorns before tonight’s transfer deadline.

Stoke City were believed to have made a late swoop but West Brom and Birmingham have agreed a fee and Ridgewell will join once he agrees personal terms and passes a medical.
