Claudio Yacob has signed a new deal at West Bromwich Albion.
The Argentine penned a two-year contract this week.
“Everybody saw Claudio's contribution to the team, particularly over the second half of last season," said Richard Garlick, the club's director of Football Administration.
“Our points ratio when Claudio was in the team compared to when he was not in the team was uncanny.
“He knows the Premier League and he knows that position. He's probably one of the best in that role in the division.
“Tony (Pulis) trusts him in that position and everyone at the club is delighted he has extended his contract."
