West Brom chief Burton likens Pulis to Hodgson

West Bromwich Albion chief Terry Burton is convinced of success under new manager Tony Pulis.

Burton likens Pulis to former Baggies manager Roy Hodgson.

"Tony has got a very strong identity in how he sees the game," Burton said. "It's misunderstood because I saw Palace play once he'd been in there a while and their counter-attacking was fantastic.

"So that identity has to be worked on on the training pitch. Does it differ massively from one coach to another? It depends on the coaches.

"Will it change massively here from Alan? That is down to the detail Tony adds to it, of what he wants in given situations.

"I think that identity can be grown within a core group of players. Tony as a coach, if you want to liken him to someone, will be like Roy Hodgson in many respects with the way he works and the way that he organises and structures the team. That wasn't so long ago."
