West Bromwich Albion chairman Jeremy Peace admits they gaffed spending £3.5 million on Aston Villa striker Luke Moore.
Moore has been left out of the Baggies' 25-man Premier League squad and is set to leave on loan.
And Peace admitted: "People make mistakes but I'm sure we'll be fine from now.
"There'll still be mistakes but hopefully we can cut down on them.
"I guess it's part of the club moving on and getting stronger.
"This is one of the reasons we're not paying big transfer fees but more on wages - perhaps it's because of what we paid for Luke."
