West Bromwich Albion chairman Jeremy Peace says he's dead against a midseason break.
Peace does not wish to indulge any further breaks during the campaign
As a football supporter, he feels the festive period is particularly important to English fans and clubs.
"I'm not in favour of it - personally, from a fans' point of view, I like the Christmas fixtures," he told the Sunday Mercury.
"We tend to have a home game at some point, though we haven't this year (Albion travel to Tottenham on Boxing Day and West Ham two days later) and I'm hoping we won't be playing at 12.45 on New Year's Day either for the fourth year running.
"But I wouldn't change how we do things in that respect."
