West Bromwich Albion caretaker boss Keith Downing says Pepe Mel would be a quality appointment.
Downing reckons appointing a foreign boss could work despite a lack of Premier League experience.
"They would have enough support staff around them to help and guide them through things," said Downing.
"And they might bring something totally new to the club, which would be good.
"But I've really tried to make no interest in who is coming in and just focus on the squad."
