West Brom captain Fletcher buoyant about Berahino and Brown Ideye

West Bromwich Albion's new captain Darren Fletcher was happy with the match-winning contributions of two of the team's strikers on Wednesday night.

Summer signing Brown Ideye was on target in the 60th minute and controversial young gun Saido Berahino added a second in the 74th minute as the Baggies recorded a deserved 2-0 win over Swansea City at The Hawthorns.

The performances of both Ideye - who has now netted in his past two outings - and Berahino (10 goals in the BPL) was not lost on Fletcher who feels there is plenty of upside for Albion with these two playing in unison up front.

"You need to score goals to win matches and that mainly comes down to strikers, although you want goals from all over the pitch," he told Express & Star.

"If we can get the service into them I'm sure they are going to take their chances. It's important in any team your strikers score goals.

"They were both fantastic last night. Their work-rate and desire, and then then their quality was there and the second goal was perfect strike partnership goal.

"They worked extremely hard, Saido had a really tough shift. He had to drop into midfield as well and then had to get forward but he did it, never moaned, got on with it and got his rewards with the goal which his performance deserved."
