West Brom boss warns Spurs, Villa target Davies will go for right price

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray says Curtis Davies will only leave for the right price.

Tottenham and Aston Villa are amongst the names to have been linked with a move for the wantaway England Under 21 international, and Mowbray admits Davies has been affected by the speculation.

He said: "We have been talking to clubs interested in Curtis, yes, but our position is that players will only leave the club when they meet our valuations.

"I would like to think I am a compassionate manager and Curtis is a young player who is struggling to get into the right frame of mind to play - that is why he has been absent from the teams.

"But if the right offer does not come in before the transfer window closes, then Curtis' situation changes, and we will expect him to be fit and available for selection."
