West Brom boss Pulis warns McClean about anti-English behaviour

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has reportedly put James McClean on notice after the Republic of Ireland midfielder turned his back on the British national anthem during a pre-season friendly.

McLean was seen to turn away from the cross of St George and bow his head as 'God Save the Queen' was played prior the start of West Brom's clash with American club Charleston Battery.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Pulis addressed the issue with McClean following West Brom's 2-1 victory and warned the 26-year-old to be wary of his behaviour.

McClean, who was born and raised in a republican area of Northern Ireland, has previously attracted controversy after refusing to wear a Remembrance Day poppy while at Wigan Athletic.
