West Brom boss Pulis: Thank God Rondon staying

West Brom boss Tony Pulis admits they rejected a bid from China for Salomon Rondon.

The Express & Star says the offer, from Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjin, is thought to have been in the region of £32million.

But speaking after the Baggies drew 1-1 at Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, Pulis revealed the bid had been knocked back.

“The Chinese club have made contact, the offer has gone in but I don't think the club are keen to do anything on that," he said.

“Salomon stays with us and thank God for that."

Rondon has netted 17 goals since joining from Zenit St Petersburg for a then club record fee of £12million in the summer of 2015.
