West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis is chasing Besiktas striker Demba Ba.
The People says Pulis is chasing a striker and the former Blues and Newcastle star is on his list of targets.
Ba was flogged to Turkish giants Besiktas last summer as Jose Mourinho made wholesale changes on the forward front.
He has flourished at Besiktas, scoring 13 goals in 19 appearances for the club, and as Pulis looks to strengthen at The Hawthorns the 29-year-old is on his radar.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp, himself looking to land a top-quality striker, is also keen, as are clubs in Russia, but the £5million-plus price-tag and Ba's wages are proving prohibitive to the west London club.
