West Brom boss Tony Pulis has branded the transfer market a "jungle".
Pulis says West Brom must feed off the scraps in the Football League or use their scouting network to unearth gems from overseas.
“We're in the jungle and the main animals will feed off the rest of us," Pulis said.
“We have to find animals a little bit lower than us, or people a little bit lower than us, that we can do business with.
“That's the nature of the game.
“It's very difficult and at times not fair on certain football clubs. West Bromwich Albion will be feeding off clubs a little bit lower than them.
“That's just the way it is."
