West Brom boss Tony Mowbray admits he has no defined-role for Spanish midfielder Borja Valero.
"I think Valero is just a good player. Full stop," said Mowbray. "I see Valero as a pure footballer who knows what to do with the ball when he gets it.
"We talked at the weekend about Manchester United's players making good decisions and I think Valero invariably makes the right decisions when he has the ball.
"He has lovely technique to get the right weight when he passes it. Until I get the players in and around the team that will make his role more defined, I will keep doing what I do every week.
"I will look at the opposition and put the players in the best positions to help the team on a given day.
"As I'm sure the fans have noticed, Jonathan Greening has played different roles this season - sometimes wide left, sometimes wide right, sometimes sitting in midfield and other days pushed on with Valero behind him.
"I'm trying to use the players we've got to give us a chance to win the game against the opposition we're playing because every team is different."
