West Brom boss Mowbray hopes for more signings after Fortune deal

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray hopes to add another striker after the signing of Nancy's Marc-Antoine Fortune.

"I'm reasonably happy with the balance of the strikers in our squad," Mowbray told the WBA website. "There is potential maybe for one more to come in but that would mean other things happening like others going out.

"Let's wait and see. There is half a door open for another striker to come in but if that doesn't happen I won't be too disappointed.

"We've got a few names and if they come off, great. If not, we'll work with what we've got. I think we've got a good midfield and yet we're looking for a certain type of player to help the team.

"If we can't get him we'll get on with what we've got. It's a department in which I think we're pretty strong. Therefore, we would like to add one more, maybe two more, players.

"But if we don't I'm not going to stand here, stomp my feet and say I'm not happy. With total respect to the players I've got, they've done a pretty good job.

"We have lacked the cutting edge at the top end of the pitch and let's hope the change around of a few in that department can spark the team to score more goals."
