West Brom boss Mowbray handcuffed over Fortune deal

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray says his hands are tied over a permanent deal for on-loan Nancy striker Marc Antoine-Fortune.

"It seems as though everyone bar Real Madrid are trying to sign him at the moment," Mowbray told the club's website.

"On the football side of things there is nothing more we can do for him other than create an environment for him to enjoy his football and give him the confidence and belief he is a good player in our team and hope he wants to continue on that journey in whatever division we might be in.

"We've got to try and make him feel wanted and part of our squad - and I feel as if we do that. He's a good person, a good personality and a good man. I don't lose sleep over it.

"We would love for him to stay and enjoy the experience of working here and playing with the players we've got. Let's wait and see what the season's end brings."
