West Brom boss Mowbray grabs Moore silver lining

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray was happy with Luke Moore's cameo in yesterday's defeat at Everton.

"I'm pleased for Luke," said Mowbray on the WBA website. "I thought he did very, very well.

"He must have had half-a-dozen shots in a short space of time. He's been waiting his time. Luke's a lovely boy. He wants an opportunity but doesn't moan about things. At this moment, I think Simpson and Fortuné have brought something different to our club.

"Yet Luke showed today he is more than capable of making an impact. I've got every faith and confidence that he can produce performances like that. It was a shame for him that his shot didn't fly in the top corner rather than hit the bar because that might have given him an even greater boost.

"What I think Luke has got is a great belief in himself because when the manager keeps putting you on the bench every week, you need belief. I'm delighted he did so well today."
