West Brom boss Mowbray feeling secure in job

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has no doubts he has the backing of his board.

Mowbray said: "My position is not something I have even considered or thought about, I just get on with my job every day, I work with the team and generally enjoy watching my team play.

"The feedback is the players enjoy coming into training and I haven't felt the stadium having negative thoughts at all.

"I haven't sensed that even when conceding three goals in 10 minutes just before half-time at home against Chelsea. The stadium was still positive for the whole of the second half.

"I think there is an understanding of us being a newly-promoted team that isn't far away from being a pretty good team and I think the fans are still hoping that can turn.

"We are of the same mind at the football club with the right mix and the right ingredient, whether that be a change of position or someone coming in on loan who scored goals that made the fine difference between winning and losing."

Mowbray claimed: "The margins have been close this year between picking up a lot more points than we have got and being at the bottom of the table.

"I have never felt we have been totally out of our depth in any game.

"We will have to live with what comes along every week. At the moment we are preparing our team every week to be as positive as we can - and that is reflected in the way the team is playing.

"The team enjoy the performances they have given - but they don't enjoy the results."
