West Brom boss Tony Mowbray admits he will have to open the club's chequebook again in January after yesterday's 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

"You have got to have your quality on the pitch. You can't concede goals like that. They were very poor goals. It has been an Achilles heel for us since I've been here," said Mowbray.

"In the summer, you try and improve that department - and we will continue to work on that."
