West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel admits he's a big fan West Ham United striker Andy Carroll.
West Brom face West Ham at the Hawthorns today.
"If you look at Diego Costa of Atletico who plays in a very aggressive way, he really does fight and has been very successful in Spain and is highly respected," said Mel.
"In Spain I think Andy Carroll could have some really great seasons and could be a really important player in a big Spanish side."
Mel added: "Carroll really is a player of exceptional quality and I think that he is a good option for the English national team at the World Cup. West Ham before and after Carroll are very different sides and I think their reaction owes much to Carroll."
