West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine says he'll speak with Youssouf Mulumbu after leaving him out for defeat at Chelsea.
Mulumbu tweeted his dissatisfaction a couple of hours before kick-off.
He posted: "In the stand looool ...."
Irvine denied that the player had expressed any unhappiness to him face-to-face and said that Mulumbu's exertions with DR Congo last week was the root cause of "In the stand looool ...." his non-selection.
"Not yet, no (we haven't spoken). But we will have a chat," the Albion boss said.
"The fact is that Youssouf joined us on Friday having been away for two weeks, so he wasn't really in contention as a result of that. We spent time preparing for the game.
"It would have been very difficult going into the challenges that this game brings without being fully prepared. Youssouf joined in a fairly light session on Friday and wasn't around to do all the work that we needed to do in order to try to be in the best condition to go to Chelsea."
