West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine says Saido Berahino has a big role to play this season.

Irvine has kept Berahino on the bench for the last two games but may recall him at QPR at the weekend.

"Saido is going to be a really important player for us this season as he has been already," the Head Coach said.

"It is far too early for me to even think about what the team is going to be against QPR.

"My work will start today (Monday). I'm going to go to Everton tonight and look at them in detail and then I'll try to pick a team that will give us the best chance of winning.

"Saido has a huge part to play in whatever we do this season but whether that is next week starting or from the bench I don't know yet."
