West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is seeking transfer talks with chairman Jeremy Peace.
He admits he is in the dark about how much funds the notoriously cautious Peace will now commit to new signings.
Hodgson said: "I haven't had a chance to talk to the chairman about it yet so we will have to wait and see."
Hodgson knows Albion face a battle to keep leading scorer Peter Odemwingie, and he wants to tie down stars like rejuvenated defender Abdoulaye Meite.
