West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson says Aston Villa should stick with Alex McLeish.
Hodgson's West Brom side have already seen off two bosses this season - Mick McCarthy and Andre Villas-Boas.
Hodgson, who saved Fulham from the drop four years ago, said: "I hope they keep faith with Alex.
"But I don't ever accept true responsibility for managers losing their job as the direct result of a match with another team you happen to be playing at the time.
"There will come a moment when people's tenure at the club comes to an end and it's unfortunate.
"But I think Alex has done a good job at Villa. It's been a difficult year for him - a very tough ask.
"There have been a lot of things that have been beyond his control. He's not been able to field his best team and the injury situation has been quite incredible.
"Alex continues to do the job with great dignity, great experience and he will pull Villa through this period."
