West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is urging Peter Odemwingie to take inspiration from Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Odemwingie was rewarded with a new contract at The Hawthorns in the summer to become the club's top earner on £35,000-a-week.
But Odemwingie has notched just once this season after struggling for form and fitness as opposition defenders have also wised up to him.
"When Cristiano Ronaldo was playing for Manchester United there weren't many of us - players or managers - who didn't know his tricks," said Hodgson.
"The problem was stopping him doing it.
"Hopefully Peter can be the same, so they know his tricks but still have him get by them."
