West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is unhappy with Paul Scharner's international call this week.
Hodgson is not keen on the idea of Scharner travelling for international duty with Austria in the next few days.
"I don't think he should and I don't think the Austrian FA should demand that he does," Hodgson said.
"I think they should be more concerned that he recovers from concussion.
"My gut feeling is that you don't mess around with concussion - bangs on the head are not to be toyed with."
