West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson says his priority is to sign on-loan Birmingham City goalkeeper Ben Foster to a permanent deal.
Hodgson would like to sign Foster but accepts that he might need to look elsewhere in the meantime.
"I've said before that as far as I know, in answer to our request, we've been informed we won't know before the end of the season," said Hodgson, who today takes his Albion side to former club Liverpool.
"Nothing has changed in that matter.
"Birmingham being in the play-offs won't accelerate anything in the process - if anything it will decelerate the process."
