West Brom boss Hodgson pushing Odemwingie to pen new deal

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is keen to secure striker Peter Odemwingie to a new contract.

The Sun says the Nigeria star has one year plus a year's option left on his current deal but West Brom want him to sign a double-your-money three-year contract worth £30,000 a week.

Hodgson added: "He seems very happy and I presume the discussions are going OK.

"Don't forget he has a contract, these discussions are to prolong and improve it."
