West Brom boss Hodgson: Much more to come from Mulumbu

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is convinced there's much more to come from midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu.

Mulumbu cannot have imagined a better first full season in the Barclays Premier League.

He is still only 24 and Hodgson believes he can improve further if he keeps working at his game.

"Youssouf is another guy having a first year at this level and it's been a difficult year because it's been a year fighting relegation," Hodgson told the WBA website.

"If next year he can kick on from here, we will see an even better player.

"The work that he does with his colleagues in training and matches will help him as well.

"It's been a big step for him coming here, but like Odemwingie, it's been an inspired signing from Dan Ashworth, to find that type of player and nurture him.

"We've given him his chance - and he's taken it."
