West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson cannot see standards slipping at champions Manchester United.
With youth on their side, Hodgson expects United to build on last season's success.
"I still think they are the team to beat," said Hodgson, speaking at a Macmillan Cancer Support charity event. "I am certain Alex is aware other teams are getting stronger and other empires are being built.
"But, once again, Sir Alex's eye for a player is pretty much infallible and he does bring good players to the club.
"I am sure Manchester United and their own empire are going to be strong again.
"The players they have recruited are top quality. I think they also have players from last season - people like Nani - who will be stronger this year than maybe the year before.
"Javier Hernandez will be stronger, Anderson will be stronger, Chris Smalling will be stronger.
"And they have that added advantage of enticing young players to the club and then working with them, so the Danny Welbecks and Tom Cleverleys of the world are going to be produced by Manchester United because they have the resources to get the young talent."
